What does the UCLA Code of Conduct say about accepting gifts from vendors?
University personnel must not give or accept gifts, gratuities, loans, or other special treatment of value from third parties doing business with or wishing to do business with the University in a manner that is not in accordance with the University’s Gifts Policy, which can be found at http://www.ucop.edu/ucophome/policies/bfb/bus43.html and the California Political Reform Act. Third parties may include, but are not limited to, customers, patients, vendors, suppliers, competitors, payers, carriers, and fiscal intermediaries. Inappropriate gifts would include coffee mugs, meals, water bottles, drinks, receptions, etc.
