BioAnalyzer
The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer as the first commercially available instrument to use microfluids technology for the analysis of biological samples. It has many advantages over conventional techniques. These advantages include improved data precision and reproducibility, short analysis times, minimal sample consumption, improved automation and integration of complex workflows.
The system provides automated sizing and quantitation information in a digital format. On-chip gel electrophoresis is performed for the analysis of DNA, RNA and proteins.
The software automatically compares the unknown samples to the ladder fragments to determine the concentration of the unknown samples and to identify the ribosomal RNA peaks.

The instrument is operated by core personnel only. We will run the chip and send you a .pdf file containing the results. For each samples, we require a minimum of 5µl per sample.

We also offer DNA, RNA sample concentration measurements using the Thermo Scientific NanoDrop 2000 spectrophotometer.
- No dilutions required, even for highly concentrated samples
- Only requires 0.5 - 2 µL of your sample
- Calculates sample purity ratios (260/280 nm and 260/230 nm)
