Dr. Mallam received her bachelor of science in neuroscience from UCLA. She then earned her medical degree from SUNY Downstate, and completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She subsequently pursued her fellowship training in gastroenterology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Additional training in gastrointestinal motility and functional disorders was completed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Mallam is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She practices general gastroenterology, with particular interest in functional gastrointestinal disorders including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), motility disorders, gastrointestinal endoscopy, colorectal disorders and gastrointestinal bleeding.
