The David Geffen School of Medicine Donated Body Program will maintain all personal information provided in confidence to the extent permitted by law.

The University has developed extensive systems to ensure the anonymity of donors. While dignity and respect for those who have donated their bodies are maintained at all times, the donation is a vital tool for education and research.

As such, the gift can be dissected and studied with tissues and organs removed for specific examination. The laboratory is situated in a restricted area and only medical students, faculty, staff or students in health-related professions are authorized for entry.
