Dr. Cohen grew up in New Jersey as an avid Mets fan. He graduated Cum Laude from Yale University in 1991, with Special Distinction in Psychology. He then returned to New Jersey, where he graduated from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University, after which he completed his fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Cohen served for 10 years as the Assistant Team Physician for Rutgers University Sports Medicine, while also serving as an attending internist and primary care physician for Rutgers Health Services. Ruihong Luo, MD
Dr. Ruihong Luo received her medical degree from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences and practiced in China for seven years. Later she completed residency in Internal Medicine at University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas, and Infectious Diseases fellowship at Boston University and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Nguyen completed her medical education at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Nicolaos Palaskas, MD
Dr. Palaskas completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and is a graduate of the Specialty Training and Advanced Research Program. Dr. Palaskas is a native of the American Midwest but spent many years in Europe, including attending medical school in Thessaloniki, Greece. He trained in Internal medicine at St Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, a TUFTS University affiliate. Prior to his fellowship at UCLA, he cared for complicated cancer patients with multiple medical problems at a Partners Healthcare Long Term Acute Care facility in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a clinician-investigator, Dr. Palaskas is interested in using metabolic interventions to improve the already promising activity of cancer immunotherapies.
Lee Rosen, MD
Lee Rosen, MD, FACP is Health Sciences Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Medicine. He has a longstanding interest in the treatment of pancreas and other gastrointestinal malignancies, specifically in the area of new drug development. Dr. Rosen completed his residency and fellowship in hematology/oncology at the UCLA School of Medicine in 1996, joining the full-time faculty immediately thereafter. He created and directed the Cancer Therapy Development Program, designed to coordinate translational/clinical research of new cancer treatments. Some of the first drugs he and his team worked with were designed for gastrointestinal cancers, so he and colleagues created a group dedicated to treating these diseases in a coordinated fashion.
Nimit Sudan, MD
Dr. Nimit Sudan is from the Midwest and completed his undergraduate and medical school at Wayne State University. He received his internal medicine residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Sudan completed his hematology and oncology fellowship at West Penn/Allegheny. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology and manages all hematologic and oncologic conditions. He also has an interest in integrated medicine and has practiced acupuncture. Dr. Sudan’s mission is to treat every patient with the utmost compassion. He believes in good communication and educating his patients. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
