The UCLA Diabetes Program is an internationally recognized team of physicians, nurses and nutritionists who provide the highest level of care to patients with diabetes mellitus. Our multidisciplinary group is located throughout the Los Angeles area and offers a personalized diabetes plan to meet the needs of all patients living with diabetes. We employ all treatments that run from the basics of nutrition and exercise to the newest of technologies.
In addition to the clinical staff, leading researchers at UCLA study the underpinnings of diabetes including the loss of insulin production by beta cells within the pancreas and the cellular changes occurring in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus. By aligning closely with researchers, our physicians are able to better understand the potential for advances and how that might affect care to each individual.
