Blake Gilmore
Graduate Student Researcher

Biography
Blake was born in San Luis Obispo and grew up in central California before attending UCLA as an undergraduate student. He graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 2010. He then pursued a M.S. degree in Stem Cell Biology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, completing the majority of his thesis work in the lab of Inder Verma at the Salk Institute. After working as a Research Associate for 3 years, he resumed his education at UCLA in the department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology. His research interests involve retinal genetics and gene therapy.
