Dr. Gopi Manthripragada was born at UCLA Medical Center, and is honored and grateful to now practice there as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Cardiology. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of California, Irvine where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Campuswide Honors Program. He obtained his Doctorate in Medicine from the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and completed his residency training at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He remained in DC for a year as Chief Medical Resident at the Washington, DC Veterans Affairs Hospital.
He then completed Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and at UCLA. For his final year of training, he returned to the east coast for a Vascular Medicine and Intervention Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. After returning to Los Angeles and UCLA, he has continued his commitment to clinical research and medical education. He is the Assistant Program Director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program and Assistant Director of the Santa Monica UCLA Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
Dr. Manthripragada's clinic is based in Redondo Beach, and he has hospital privileges at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, Little Company of Mary Hospital, St. John's Hospital and UCLA.
His research interests include mechanisms of disease in cardiovascular disease and stroke, complex coronary and vascular interventions and the impact of diet and exercise on health.
When not working, Dr. Manthripragada enjoys spending time with his growing family, traveling, and keeping up to date on geopolitical happenings.
