ENT Doctor and Patient at UCLA Head and Neck Surgery

For the 31st consecutive year, U.S. News and World Report has named UCLA medical centers among the country's best. UCLA Ear, Nose, and Throat inpatient care is consistently ranked among the top out of more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide.

  • The UCLA Department of Head and Neck Surgery is widely acclaimed for having established the first Voice Center on the West Coast in 2005 and having played a central role in the development of novel treatments for voice disorders, such as surgery for spasmodic dysphonia, vocal cord paralysis, and airway stenosis.
  • Through the efforts of the Otology/Neurotology faculty, UCLA has become the established center for cochlear implantation, one of only a handful of facilities in Southern California where the life-changing procedure is performed.
  • Our department has achieved a success rate that exceeds 99% in performing approximately 1,500 microvascular reconstructive surgeries during the 20 years since this program was established. Our institutional success rate currently equals or exceeds that reported by all other medical centers in the world.
  • Several UCLA Head and Neck Surgery physicians are voted Southern California 'Super Doctors' each year, a list voted on by southern California healthcare professionals and published by Los Angeles Magazine. Those who earned this distinction have excelled professionally and are widely recognized as leaders within their fields of practice. For more information, visit UCLA Health.

Our extensively experienced physicians and research scientists paired with our state-of-the-art facilities and technology ensures that UCLA will remain at the forefront of knowledge in Head and Neck Surgery-Otolaryngology.
