We are committed to providing top-of-the line diagnostics and therapeutics for our patients. Our faculty have been leaders in the field and have contributed in research and development of cutting edge techniques. As a division, we are proud to be a host of distinguished faculty with expertise across the spectrum of interventional cardiology to provide the best possible care.

In our catheterization laboratories across multiple hospitals, we provide advanced diagnostic techniques including diagnostic coronary angiograms, right heart catheterizations from radial and femoral approaches. Diagnostics can range from endomyocardial biopsy of the heart to advanced imaging of the blood vessels to study the composition of the plaque morphology.

We are proud to be a STEMI-receiving center with our catheterization laboratory open 24 x 7 to serve emergency situations to help our patients. Our doctors, nurses, and technicians are on call to provide life-saving procedures as needed. In addition to treatment of heart attacks, advanced interventional techniques with rotablator, orbital atherectomy, laser atherectomy are available. Given our expertise in coronary interventions, we have developed special programs where we treat patients with Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO) with high success rates and also provide options for intervention for Complex High-Risk Indicated Patients (CHIP). Please find more details on these programs in the related pages.

We have a longstanding tradition of treating Structural Heart Diseases. We have been a home for Atrial Septal Defect/Patent Foramen Ovale procedures for many years and have led multiple trials. In the more recent years with the advent of newer technologies, we have developed extensive experience in minimally invasive treatment of Aortic Stenosis with Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement and Mitral Regurgitation with the MitraClip placement procedure. We also have developed Left Atrial Appendage Closure program, where a device can be used to plug the area in the heart where the risk of stroke arises. Our faculty also have extensive experience in the fields of closure of paravalvular leaks, alcohol septal ablations for Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM), Aortic and Mitral Valvuloplasty. In collaboration with Congenital Heart Disease faculty, we offer our patients with tricuspid and pulmonary valve treatment options, aortic coarct therapies, ventricular septal defect repairs to name a few of the procedures. Please find more details on these programs in the related pages.

Our faculty also has extensive experience in Vascular Diseases. Our cardiac and vascular intervention specialists offer a comprehensive, cutting-edge approach to the evaluation and care of patients with peripheral arterial disease utilizing a minimally invasive endovascular approach. Our treatment goals are to provide symptom relief and improve quality of life while simultaneously emphasizing prevention of future vascular problems. We do so by providing guidance regarding exercise therapy, smoking cessation and medication optimization. As needed, advanced techniques are used to open the blood vessels to provide increase blood flow to areas to help improve quality of life and/or limb salvage. Please find more details on these programs in the related pages.
