Q: What does the study require of me?
A: Completing pre-survey (10-15 minutes), receiving and reading text topics daily, completing 3 question mid-surveys on Mondays and Fridays, and completing a post-survey

Q: How do I receive the $10 Amazon gift card?
A: We will text you the gift card within 1 week after you completing the post survey. Remember to receive the $10 Amazon gift card you must have also completed the pre survey, and all 8 mid surveys that are sent Monday’s and Fridays.
Q: Why do I have to keep writing my phone number for the mid surveys?
A: You should be writing the same phone number that you are receiving the texts from on ALL surveys. This is how we identify you and record your participation.
Q: Should I be checking the website daily?
A: Yes, we recommend you to check the website daily upon receiving messages because the website has more information to help you with your health journey during this time of social distancing.
Q: Is this program only for those who have not had a previously known heart condition or heart attack?
A: No. Anyone can benefit from heart healthy information even if you have had a heart condition or heart attack in the past. Please be aware these are just healthy recommendations and should not be replaced with your current treatment if on any. Talk to your doctor or cardiologist if you do plan on changing your
Q: Can I share this program with my family who lives in another city other than Los Angeles or Orange County or State?
A: You may direct them to the website, however, they cannot be a part of the study and data that follows.
Q: I have a question about one of the texts I received and I can’t find my answer or the website? Who can I contact for more information?

Q: I love this program! May I get informed about future studies?
A: Yes absolutely. In the post-survey, we will ask if you would like to be contacted about future studies so please make sure you let us know there.
Q: I registered and completed the pre survey on Thursday. When will I start receiving text messages?
A: Each cohort begins on Friday after registration and pre-survey completion.
Q: What time are the messages being sent?
A: Messages will be sent out at 2:00 pm everyday.
Q: Why am I being sent multiple messages?
A: The carrier for our text messages on this study breaks down the message into sections.
Q: Boxes are showing up? Maybe your phone doesn’t have emoji support?
A: You may have a phone that does not support emojis
Q: When does registration end?
A: Registration will end as soon as we reach our enrollment goal.
