Announcements

A Special Note of Thanks to UCLA Health from Chancellor Gene D. Block

I am immensely grateful to our UCLA Health team in particular for all of the ways in which you’ve met the needs of the Los Angeles community at such a critical time. Many of you have been grappling with aspects of the pandemic itself, whether treating COVID-19 patients, conducting research to understand the SARS-CoV-2 virus, offering public health guidance to the campus and other entities, conducting outreach to under-resourced populations, creating and staffing testing and vaccination sites, developing the SwabSeq testing system (which has played an outsize role in allowing more UCLA students to return to Westwood), or providing expert scientific information to our communities and beyond. Those who have not been directly combating the pandemic have still had to be incredibly adaptive, modifying their healthcare protocols, methods of instruction and research, and other aspects of regular operations. All of this has required so much of you, and you have our community’s deepest gratitude.
