In an effort to standardize staffing requests across the David Geffen School of Medicine, please use the following two surveys to 1) request additional staff needed on an ongoing basis or 2) to add available staff to the DGSOM redeployment labor pool.
Managers should fill out the COVID-19 DGSOM Staffing Request to request redeployed staff needed on an ongoing basis. Requests will be reviewed and managers will receive notice of whether their requests can be fulfilled within the requested timeframe.
Managers should fill out the COVID-19 DGSOM Staff Available for Redeployment to add staff to the redeployment labor pool. Please submit one survey per staff member. Individuals will be assigned based on the needs of the health system while taking into account credentials, work limitations, work experience, background, location, and shift times.
A daily email will be sent from DGSOMRedeployment@mednet.ucla.edu to all staff members whose information has been submitted for redeployment using the provided survey. Each email will list positions that are currently available, a description of the position, possible shifts, and a deadline by which staff must submit their interest to volunteer. If more staff volunteer than are needed, staff will be selected based on their alignment with the bargaining unit of the redeployed position’s tasks, UC seniority, and appointment type.
