UCPath is the University of California’s priority program to implement a single payroll, benefits, human resources and academic personnel solution for all UC employees. UCPath will replace UC’s 35-year old Payroll/Personnel System (PPS) with a single new payroll and HR technology system, standardize and streamline payroll and some HR processes systemwide, and centralize certain HR/APO and payroll transactional processes within the UCPath shared service center.

UCPath is changing the way the UC-system handles payroll and benefits transactions. UCPath will bring modern and stable technology, access to shared services, and integrated business processes for UCLA and the other participating UC locations. With the launch of the UCPath system, the University expects to strengthen its operational foundation, increasing efficiency and productivity, and supporting administrative excellence.
Take the following the steps before August 1, 2018 to help you to seamlessly transition to UCPath:
Step 1: Establish a Single Sign-on (SSO), if you currently do not have one to access the UCPath Portal.
• If you have a Mednet User ID and password, this is your SSO. If you do not have a Mednet User ID and password, you should visit accounts.iam.ucla.edu to obtain a UCLA Logon ID, which will act as your SSO
• Please note: as with all other UCLA websites requiring SSO, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be required. To enroll in MFA, please visit it.ucla.edu/security/resources/mfa-at-ucla
Step 2: Log into atyourserviceonline.ucop.edu (AYSO) to:
• Verify your personal information (i.e. address, phone, email address, dependent names, etc.)
• Sign-up for Direct Deposit if you wish to receive your pay electronically and are currently not enrolled
Step 3: If you have a payroll deduction to the University Credit Union (UCU), complete the Transfer of Payroll Deduction to Direct Deposit Sign-Up Form to convert your deduction to a direct deposit account. You can obtain the form by visiting the UCU website at www.ucu.org/ucpath
Step 4: If you are over or nearing the vacation accrual maximum, please work with your manager/supervisor to reduce your current vacation balance, where applicable.
If you currently receive a paper paycheck, starting in October 2018, your paycheck will be mailed on payday to your home address on file. By switching to Direct Deposit you can get access to your pay on payday.
