Dr. Julianne Harrison earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Arizona and received her medical degree at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She stayed on as Chief resident and then completed her Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship at UCLA. During her fellowship, her passion for palliative care evolved and she conducted research with communication with death and dying in pediatrics. She joined the staff at UCLA upon completion of her fellowship as a Critical Care physician and working with the Palliative Care Program. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
She currently is an attending in the Pediatric Palliative Care Program. She provides inpatient service at Ronald Reagan and UCLA Santa Monica while also seeing patients in the clinic in Medical Plaza 300. She also is certified in Urban Zen. Her interests are teaching residents and fellows about palliative medicine and complementary therapies. She also practices pediatric critical care medicine at another facility and is a physician at Totally Kids Sun Valley.
She is also a fitness instructor and likes to practice a work/life balance. She enjoys spending time with her family and is a mother to 3 children. She enjoys traveling, exercising and playing the piano.
