Update: LAX Airport Shooting—Patients Treated at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center received three male patients from the LAX Airport shootings on November 1, 2013.

One patient was treated and released on November 1. Patient Brian Ludmer was transferred to another hospital on Nov. 5.  The third patient was released on Nov. 18.

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center received three male patients from the LAX Airport shootings on November 1, 2013.

One patient was treated and released on November 1. Patient Brian Ludmer was transferred to another hospital on Nov. 5.  The third patient has been upgraded from critical to fair condition.

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center received three male patients from the LAX Airport shootings on November 1, 2013.

One patient was treated and released on November 1. Patient Brian Ludmer remains in good condition and has been transferred tonight to another hospital.  The other patient remains in critical condition.

One of the patients, Brian Ludmer, has had his condition upgraded to good. He faces at least one additional surgery for a leg fractured by a bullet wound along with extensive physical therapy.

UCLA is issuing this statement on behalf of Ludmer and his family. At this time, the family wishes to decline any interviews with the news media, and requests that their privacy be respected.

Of the other two patients, one was treated and released on Friday, Nov. 1, and the other remains in critical condition.

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center received three male victims from the LAX Airport shootings on November 1, 2013, one of whom is Brian Ludmer.

Ludmer, who sustained a bullet wound at LAX, remains in fair condition but faces at least one additional surgery for a fractured leg along with extensive physical therapy.
