Our virtual drag showcase will highlight our theme of INCLUSION as an opportunity to explore diversity, promote community, and feature the fierce Drag talent LA is known for! Your contributions will support the growth of LGBTQ healthcare, advocacy, research, and education at UCLA Health.
This year, UCLA Health is focusing on INCLUSION during Pride month. We pride ourselves on being an affirming member of the Los Angeles/SoCal community, both inside and outside of our clinical space. Our pride celebration will bring us together, celebrate our diversity of experience, and showcase LA’s fabulous queer community.
UCLA Health is raising money to support LGBTQ health and wellness. Your gift will accelerate the growth of LGBTQ programs within our four central pillars of LGBTQ care: to create innovative patient care programs and resources, to promote LGBTQ health advocacy, to advance UCLA LGBTQ research and to provide in-depth education on LGBTQ health care.
Join us on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 11 am for the second virtual kidney fair, a conference focused on bringing you the very latest research and information about the management of kidney disease at UCLA Health. Dr. Amy Weimer will be speaking on "Pioneering Gender Health at UCLA." Other topics include COVID-19 and its impact, home dialysis, donation, transplantation, patient stories and much more. On October 19, at Los Angeles City College, UCLA Health will be supporting the Models of Pride 2019 LGBTQ youth conference by having a table at the event’s Resource Fair. The Resource Fair will give UCLA Health an opportunity to convey to participating youth that they are not alone. UCLA Health will provide information that gives these youth access to support and resources from all over Los Angeles and beyond.

The 5th Annual SoCal LGBTQIA Health Conference will be held at UC Irvine on January 20th 2019! This year we are featuring 4 tracks: Empowering Allies, Supporting One Another, Self-care and Wellness, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
This student-led conference is a collaboration of the health professional schools in Southern California, ranging from medical, PA, pharmacy, and Chiropractic schools, and is sponsored by several of our local universities and hospitals, including DGSOM and UCLA Health! Attendees of this conference will gain insights from providers who work extensively in the field and also deepen their own understanding about the various experiences within the LGBTQIA community. CME hours are available for providers.

AIDS Walk Los Angeles is an annual 10K fundraising walk held in downtown Los Angeles that benefits APLA Health and several other local HIV service organizations, including the UCLA CARE Center. Registration is free.
UCLA Health supported the annual Models of Pride 2018 LGBTQ youth conference resource fair at Cal State Los Angeles on October 20. With more than 2,000 attendees, the Resource Fair provides an opportunity for youth to find support and resources from all over Los Angeles and beyond and know they are not alone. UCLA Health staff shared information about our LGBTQ Health Initiative and our system's related services, including the EMPWR Program and the Gender Health Program.
October 11, 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of National Coming Out Day when we celebrate those coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) or as an ally. UCLA Health and the UCLA Gender Health Program honor all who have come out as LGBTQ and we are here to support U!
