Dr. Shim received his B.S. from University of California at Berkeley.
After earning his medical degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, Internal Medicine Internship and Residency were served at the Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California.
His rheumatology training was completed at University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
Before joining the UCLA Rheumatology Division, he served as a faculty in the Division of Rheumatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for 5 years.
He practices general rheumatology and his areas of interest include systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, myositis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis and gout.
