Children's Comfort Care Program

The UCLA Children's Pain & Comfort Care Program (CPCCP) is dedicated to alleviating pain and other causes of distress for children from birth to young adulthood with complex illnesses as well as that of their parents. Our overall goal is to provide care that improves the quality of life for our patients and families.

We also educate health professional students, residents and fellows and UCLA Medical Staff to promote understanding of best practices in pediatric pain management and palliative care.

Our program has five priority areas:

  • Outpatient Pain & Comfort Care Clinic
  • Inpatient Pain & Comfort Care (Palliative Care) Consultation Service
  • Bereavement & Support Resources
  • Palliative Care Research & Program Development
  • Childhood Pain Research Program
