Mission: The Children’s Discovery & Innovation (CDI) Institute Health Services Research (HSR) Program aims to develop national leaders in child health services research, with a special focus on redesigning primary care and related systems for medically and socially vulnerable children in Los Angeles and beyond.

Since its inception in 2013, the CDI HSR Program has leveraged its initial philanthropic funding to obtain additional grants and contracts and is already one of the most innovative programs in the nation. Its current core members have led community-engaged projects across various child health sectors, including education, juvenile justice, child and family welfare, public policy, and physical and mental healthcare.
