Dr. Margaret Nguyen earned her bachelor's degree at Northwestern University and received her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed her pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA. Prior to joining UCLA in 2016, Dr. Nguyen completed her fellowship training in Neonatology at the University of Texas in Houston where she studied genomic mutations in neural tube defects in infants and carried out quality improvement projects on I-PASS. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Nguyen's research interests include crisis management simulation, medical education, and quality improvement. She provides inpatient clinical care at UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital, UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica, and Centinela Hospital in Inglewood. She is the co-medical director at Centinela Hospital.
