Dr. Matteo Dinolfo is the Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine Community Practices. He is responsible for the expansion of UCLA Health into dozens of communities, including Santa Clarita, Palos Verdes and Ventura, with the goal of providing patients throughout greater Los Angeles with convenient and high-quality primary and specialty care.
Dr. Dinolfo was raised in Michigan and received his medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He moved to Los Angeles in 1976 to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency and a Infectious Diseases fellowship at UCLA’s San Fernando Valley Program at the VA Medical Center, UCLA and Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious diseases.
Dr. Dinolfo is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he has taught medical students for 20 years. He also maintains a small general medicine practice in Santa Monica.
