Dr. Michael Cohen is an infectious diseases physician who practices in Santa Clarita. He believes in solving difficult medical problems with the utmost respect and compassion for patients and their families by using the power of communication and every resource provided by UCLA Health. His clinical interests include general infectious diseases, HIV, Hepatitis C, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), chronic wound care, staph infections, diabetic foot infections, outpatient IV antimicrobial therapy and critical decision making.
Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the Cottage Health System in Santa Barbara, before returning to Los Angeles to complete an infectious diseases fellowship and master’s degree in molecular pharmacology at UCLA.
Dr. Cohen has trained and practiced in Southern California for the past 26 years. He is currently an assistant clinical professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and a teaching physician in infectious diseases at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. He resides in Valencia with his wife and daughter.
