Dr. Michael Cohen has trained and practiced in Southern California for the past 26 years. He completed medical school at the USC Keck School of Medicine then went on to internal medicine internship and residency at the Cottage Health System in Santa Barbara. He then returned to Los Angeles to complete an infectious diseases fellowship and Masters Degree in Molecular Pharmacology at UCLA. He has been working in private practice in Los Angeles and as teaching physician for infectious diseases at Olive View UCLA Medical Center since 1997.
Dr. Cohen's clinical interests include general infectious diseases, Coccidioidomycosis (Valley Fever), HIV, Hepatitis C, chronic wound care, staph infections and diabetic foot infections, outpatient IV antimicrobial therapy, and critical decision making. Dr. Cohen resides in Valencia with his wife and daughter. He believes in solving difficult medical problems with the utmost respect and compassion for the patient and their families using the power of communication and all resources within UCLA Health.
