myUCLAhealth Bedside lets you and your family see your medical record while you're in the hospital.
myUCLAhealth Bedside is a patient-facing, tablet-based app to provide patients with information and tools that can help engage them more directly in their own plan of care. The app provides patients admitted to an inpatient unit at UCLA Health with health information during their hospitalization.
Among the features available via this app:
- My Health: Real-time vital signs and lab test results
- Taking Care of Me: Names, photos, and role descriptions of everyone on your care team
- To Learn: Instructions related to your diagnoses, medications, and other aspects of your treatment plan, viewable on the tablet
- Messages: Communication tool for asking questions related to your care
- Happening Soon: Your daily schedule for medications, procedures, lab draws, and other scheduled events
- myUCLAhealth Access: You can view all this information after you’re discharged if you have an active myUCLAhealth account
The app can be downloaded to your own iOS or Android tablet, or you can be provided with a device owned by UCLA for the duration of your stay. Additionally, patients with an active myUCLAhealth account will be able to review this information after discharge by accessing their online account.
Step 1: Bring your tablet to a member of the patient's care team.
Step 2: The care team member will use the tablet to scan a barcode
Step 3: You're now ready to use myUCLAhealth Bedside!
