Dialysis Program

Inpatient Dialysis Services: At Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, approximately 1200 acute dialysis procedures are performed monthly on the inpatient services, including approximately 15 CRRT procedures each day. At UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center approximately 100 inpatient dialysis procedures are performed monthly.

Outpatient Dialysis Services: The dialysis modalities offered to our patients include hemodialysis (in-center and home hemodialysis) and peritoneal dialysis.

Kidney Transplantation Program

The UCLA Kidney Transplantation Program is one of the largest and most successful programs in the country. The program performs 275-300 transplants annually and serves as a major referral base for much of the western United States. Over 2000 patients are currently registered for kidney transplantation at UCLA.

Implantable Artificial Kidney

UCLA Health team patents a new, dialysis-free and waterless artificial kidney technology that will be used in portable and implantable devices, represending the first major innovation in renal replacement therapy since the development of dialysis over 75 years ago.

Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Program

The UCLA Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Program is dedicated to providing the highest quality of patient care, performing cutting-edge research and educating patients and healthcare professionals about the latest advances.

Fabry Disease Program

The UCLA Fabry Disease Program is committed to providing the best healthcare, education, and support to patients and families affected by Fabry Disease. This program is also dedicated to performing cutting-edge research and educating healthcare professionals about the latest breakthroughs in the field.

Kidney Health Program

The UCLA Kidney Health Program is a multidiscipline effort to enhance kidney care, specifically in the areas of research, evaluation and treatment. New and innovative techniques are utilized to care for a range of kidney health issues with the goal to preserve and even improve function. We refer to this model of care as Kidney Function Preservation.

CORE Kidney Program

The CORE Kidney Program's mission is improve healthcare delivery by implementing their CORE values of Clinical excellence, Outreach, Research, and Education. Their focus is on integrative medicine, with emphasis on prevention and education, so patients can become their best own advocates.
