A new offering within our department is a collaborative effort with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA to train the next generations of neurology clinician-educators. The goal of the program is to prepare interested neurology residents for careers in academic medicine with a focus on teaching and curriculum design and development. There are two one-year certificate programs:
Participating residents are required to attend a bi-weekly seminar series for both programs and develop an innovative curriculum project for Year 1 and a research project for Year 2.
Application to the program is through School of Medicine normally in the spring/early summer of PGY-2 year.
