The Department of Neurology is home to a large number of scientific trainees at the graduate student, post-doc, resident, and undergraduate levels. The department’s scientific research spans numerous disciplines, and our trainees reflect that diversity. The Graduate Education Committee (GEC) provides opportunities for research trainees across the department to interact through research and career seminars, social events, and scientific poster sessions. These events augment the trainees’ experiences in their home labs or academic department.
The major annual event hosted by the GEC is Neurology Science Day, which typically takes place in March or April each year. Neurology Science Day includes a poster session where departmental trainees present their research and compete for prizes for best poster presentation. The Neurology Science Day also features guest lectures by senior faculty researchers who present cutting edge research and provide career insights based on their own experience.
