The improving patient outcomes RN class (IPORN) is a mandatory class designed to educate RNs on two important topics for patient care during hospitalization. The skin care portion of the class will cover current skin care and pressure injury prevention guidelines and standards. One hour will focus on insulin administration.
Continuing Education Contact Hours:
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider number 12511 for 3.5 contact hours.
UCLA Health is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Nurses will be awarded 3.25 ANCC contact hours for participation in this activity.

Annual skin care/pressure injury prevention class is two-hour mandatory class for clinical care partner (CCP). The class is designed to educate CCPs regarding current skin care and pressure injury prevention guidelines and standards. The ultimate goal is to improve patient care. It is a dynamic class that includes big and small group discussions and learning exercises.
