I have been a Nurse-Midwife for more than 20 years. I have so much enjoyed the opportunity to work with women and families at such a critical time of their lives and consider my work to be a great privilege.
Prior to becoming a Nurse-Midwife I earned a degree in Public Health at UCLA, focusing on international health, and have been fortunate to have worked with and learned from midwives and other health professionals in several other countries including Nepal, Thailand, Burma, Burundi, El Salvador and the Central African Republic. In the USA I spent the first half of my career in the San Francisco Bay area and the second mostly in Central and Southern California. I now live in Ojai where I enjoy hiking, and swimming in the ocean with my family. I'm happy to be back at UCLA where I really started my health career!
