The UCLA Nurse Midwives have moved!
Our new address is: 1245 16th Street, Suite 312, Santa Monica, CA 90404. The UCLA Nurse Midwives are now located at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center. We are excited to expand our program, including clinic and prenatal services, at The BirthPlace Santa Monica where we have more rooms and space to care for you during labor and birth.

  • Kai's Birth Story
The midwives are an amazing group and deserve the highest recognition for the care they provide helping women achieve a birth with minimal intervention.
  • Eleanor's Birth Story
My husband and I have a tiny daughter named Eleanor. We were all fortunate enough to begin this journey on the best possible note, in the extraordinary hands (both literally and figuratively) of the UCLA midwives.
  • Jennie & Mike's Story
A little background: our first child was almost 11 lbs at birth, so with my second pregnancy, I was getting a lot of questions and pressure for extra tests in Illinois where we had been living before moving to LA.
  • Jerry & Amy's Story
It's...Jerry, Amy and 'lil Timmy...we're all doing great! We just had our first pediatrician visit this afternoon and everything is looking terrific. Timmy gained back the weight he lost and is now at 8 lb 8 oz; his birth weight was 8 lb 7 oz.
  • K & T's Story
We are so glad we chose to entrust both of our sons' pregnancies and deliveries to UCLA's midwives, and will always be grateful to them.
  • Laura & Kevin's Story
We loved the care we received from the midwife group throughout my pregnancy. But Ann deserves special mention for her assistance during labor. She was fantastic, supportive, instructive and really made the natural birth experience possible.
  • Lauren's Story
It was really important for me and my husband to have a natural child birth due to the fact that I said that with my first, but I just didn’t have the strength or will power to get over the pain.
  • Laury's Story
It is now just a little over one year that you have delivered my baby girl, Zoë. I wanted to thank you so very much, especially Susan who was on call the night I delivered!
  • Melissa's Story
I had a wonderful experience with the UCLA midwives' practice. It was easy to schedule appointments and I was always seen promptly. The midwives, nurses, and other staff were very accommodating of my two year-old son when I brought him to appointments.
  • Samantha's Story
I would recommend the UCLA midwives to anyone who is pursuing a safe and fulfilling birthing experience.
  • The Georges' Story
I want to thank you for helping bring my little angel into this world. I had such a great experience with you Susan during my delivery.
  • The Schauers' Story
I would highly recommend going to the midwives at UCLA, they are confident and competent in giving you your best chance at success.
