Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month provides an opportunity to highlight this important health issue for women. Gynecologic cancers include all cancers of the female reproductive system, such as cancers of the ovaries, cervix, fallopian tubes, uterus, vulva and vagina. According to the American Cancer Society, there will be an estimated 109,000 new cases diagnosed and approximately 33,100 deaths from gynecologic cancers in the U.S. in 2019.
The warning signs for gynecologic cancers can be vague and similar to those of other conditions. That's why it’s important to be informed and know the facts.
