I’m a Los Angeles native and graduated from UCLA with a Masters in Nursing. I am thankful that, while working as a nurse practitioner, I had the opportunity to assist midwives in a few births. That extraordinary experience prompted a strong desire to become a midwife. I then received post graduate training in Nurse Midwifery from Drew University. Since 2007, I have been fortunate to practice with the midwives at UCLA. I believe we offer a wonderful model by approaching birth as a normal process within a highly-respected medical center.
Being a mother has been my deepest calling and I truly enjoy helping families along their journey towards parenthood. As a mother who experienced both a cesarean birth and a vaginal birth after cesarean, I hold a special place in my heart for women that strongly desire a vaginal birth after a cesarean (VBAC). I also have practiced Yoga and Mindfulness for many years and love to incorporate these skills into my work.
I live in El Segundo with my husband Steve and teenagers Jack and Eleanor. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, reading, and Sunday suppers with friends and family.
