Background

Army Specialist Donald "Joey" Barr

SPC Donald "Joey" Barr is currently living in Iowa. On April 21, 2008 while serving as a Gunner in his tank, Joey was injured in Iraq after his tank drove over a roadside bomb.

Joey suffered a broken jaw, torn left ACL, torn right PCL, compression fracture L1-T12 and herniated discs.

Joey has undergone knee and shoulder surgeries at UCLA and is returning to a more active lifestyle.
