Current research area: 1) Ontogenesis of connective tissue in humans; 2) generation of cartilage committed progenitors from human pluripotent and mesenchymal stem cells with an ultimate goal to develop new therapeutic strategies in patients with osteoarthritis. 3) development of antifibrotic therapies for prevention of fibrocartilage formation during regeneration/repair of articular cartilage defects.
