UCLA Health’s Urogynecology Care: Why Choose Us?

At UCLA’s Center for Women’s Pelvic Health, our urologists and urogynecologists specialize in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Patients benefit from our:

Highly trained experts: All of our doctors are board-certified in urology or obstetrics and gynecology. Each one also has a second board certification in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, which offers extra expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders in women.

Broad range of treatment options: We offer several nonsurgical and surgical treatment options, including pelvic floor physical therapy, medications and nerve stimulation. We will work with you until we find a solution that offers you meaningful symptom relief.

Care for complex cases: Our doctors helped develop innovative techniques to treat women with pelvic floor disorders and are skilled in minimally invasive approaches to advanced pelvic organ prolapse. Our specialists have extensive experience performing intricate surgeries, such as complex vaginal reconstructive surgery, to treat patients with challenging needs.

Multidisciplinary team: Gynecology and urology sub-specialties are closely connected. UCLA Health’s program combines both areas of expertise for your benefit. Our world-class urology and gynecology doctors work together on your care, ensuring we address every aspect of a pelvic floor problem.

Compassionate approach: Pelvic disorders can be a sensitive topic to bring up with your doctor. At UCLA, we strive to meet your needs in a caring and compassionate manner. Pelvic health disorders affect women in different ways, and we tailor your care to the treatment goals and results that matter most to you.

Online second opinions: With secure video-conferencing technology, you can speak with one of our urogynecology experts without leaving home. A second opinion consultation may help you decide whether traveling to UCLA Health for treatment is best for you.
