I received both my M.D. and Masters Degree in Public Health from Northwestern University in Chicago. I completed a medical residency at UCLA and the VA Hospital in West L.A. and did fellowships in medical oncology and therapeutics and then hematology and bone marrow transplantation at the City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, California. I am Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. I have extensive experience in basic science, cancer research, hospice, and medical ethics."
