Peter received his Master of Social Work degree from New York University's Silver School of Social Work in New York City. He worked as a clinical social worker at Motion Picture & Television Fund prior to becoming a member of the staff at Behavioral Health Associates. He has also worked at UCLA-Santa Monica Hospital as a medical social worker. Peter practices individual, couples, and group therapy with adults of all ages, with a specialization working with older adults; his interest in the field of geriatrics began during an internship at a skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY. Peter is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles, and the American Psychological Association. He earned a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Psychoanalytic Center of California in 2014 and recently completed EMDR Basic Training Part 1 through the EMDR Institute. His approach to psychotherapy combines several modalities, including CBT, humanistic psychology, and object relations. Peter also holds a Master of Arts in American and British Literature from New York University.
