    About Me

Dr. Terence Hammer was raised in Oak Park, Illinois, the hometown of Ernest Hemingway and Frank Lloyd Wright. As Board-Certified Family Physician, he has practiced in the South Bay since 1977 and has many families with multiple generation patients in his practice. Dr. Hammer enjoys working with patients and attending to their preventative and planned health maintenance. Based on decades of experience, he is dedicated to finding answers for complicated and serious health problems. He is passionate about addressing risk factors for coronary artery disease and seeking out early signals of cancer.

He also has been teaching medical students and other doctors in training for almost twenty years and is committed to compassionate care for all his patients.

Running, long-distance swimming, collecting modern and western art and being involved in charitable causes help revitalize him. He enjoys spending time with his daughter Katy, and looks forward to continuing to provide his patients excellent care for a long time.
