About
Dr. Carolyn Crandall is an internal medicine physician who has served on the UCLA School of Medicine faculty since 1994. Dr. Crandall completed her undergraduate studies at Pomona College in California and her MD degree at UCLA. She completed her internal medicine training and Master of Science in Clinical Research at UCLA. Her clinical and research interests are menopause and osteoporosis. She is actively involved in graduate and medical education. She lectures frequently to physicians and other health care providers regarding menopause, menopausal hormone therapy, and osteoporosis.

Dr. Crandall's research focuses on osteoporosis and menopause. She is currently evaluating ways to optimize ways to identify who is at risk of fracture, comparing various medications to treat osteoporosis, and the consequences of osteoporosis and fractures.
