Christine K. Thang, MD

About

Dr. Christine Thang is a Clinical Instructor in the Division of General Pediatrics. Dr. Thang is a board-certified pediatrician and member of the faculty practice at the Children's Health Center in Westwood, CA. She precepts medical students and resident physicians training in the UCLA pediatrics clinic. She is also one of the medical team providers for the UCLA Pediatric Craniofacial Program. Her clinical interests are in well newborn care, craniofacial needs, childhood trauma and resiliency, and healthy lifestyle and nutrition.

Dr. Thang earned her medical degree from the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) with AOA honors. She completed her pediatric training in the UCLA Pediatric Residency Program and was awarded the Excellence in Teaching with Humanism Residents and Fellows Award. After residency, she served as a Chief Resident and concurrently pursued the DGSOM Medical Education Fellowship. Dr. Thang received her undergraduate degree from UCLA with a major in Physiological Sciences and minor in Asian American Studies, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Her professional interests include community pediatrics, advocacy, and medical education. She is actively involved in the American Academy of Pediatrics at the local and national levels. Dr. Thang is dedicated to improving the care of all children and to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate medical education levels.

Dr. Thang grew up in Los Angeles. She is a spirited Bruin alumna.
