About

Dr. Young is an internal medicine physician who practices general primary care as well as complex medical care for the UCLA Health Extensivist Program in Westwood and Santa Monica. He also provides HIV primary care and HIV prevention at the UCLA CARE Center. Dr. Young is board certified in Internal Medicine and is certified as an HIV Specialist through the American Academy of HIV. He uses evidence based medicine to provide individualized care for his patients. He works with a multidisciplinary team to help his patients meet their health goals.

Dr. Young received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and received the Dr. Joseph N. Muschel Housestaff Award. Dr. Young was the first graduating fellow of the UCLA Kennamer Extensivist Fellowship program.

He is interested in medical education, narrative medicine and the medical humanities, and providing quality medical care for complex patients.
