About

Dr. Ray Reza Goshtaseb, MD, FASN is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and the Medical director of UCLA Kidney Stone Center, as well as a board certified nephrologist who practices in Santa Monica, Westwood and Beverly Hills. He treats patients at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center, and Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Dr. Goshtaseb diagnoses and treats patients with kidney disease, including kidney stones, polycystic kidney disease, diabetes with kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte abnormalities, and glomerulonephritis, among other conditions. He also helps manage the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis. He has participated in numerous clinical research trials related to these conditions, and is also board certified in internal medicine.

Dr. Goshtaseb completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine and his internal medicine residency at San Joaquin General Hospital in French Camp. Prior to his residency and fellowship training, Dr. Goshtaseb worked as a research assistant in the nephrology division of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

When Dr. Goshtaseb is not working, he enjoys hiking, traveling, watching movies and being in nature.
