UCLA Radiology would like to recognize our very own Dr. Richard H. Gold, Professor of Radiological Sciences. Professor Gold was chosen to be the recipient of the first annual 2014-15 Carole E. Goldberg Academic Award. Throughout the years, he has displayed true dedication and amazing work ethic within the Department of Radiology, the David Geffen School of Medicine and the University as well. A few of his contributions include (but are not limited to) serving as Chief of Mammography and Skeletal Radiology, Director of Residency Training and Executive Vice Chair for Academic Programs. He was also a member of the Council on Academic Personnel of the UCLA Academic Senate and Chair of the Council.
Retirement did not stop Professor Gold from contributing to his department. He has been chosen to receive this award for his impeccable service to the academic enterprise since retirement. His dossier provides great examples of his accomplishments and contributions to the field of radiological sciences. Congratulations once again, Professor Gold! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
