The UCLA independent IR residency is a one-year or two-year program accredited in good standing with the ACGME. One to two independent IR residents are recruited each year. The program is similar in most respects to our IR fellowship program which sunsets in June 2020; our first independent IR residents will begin July 2020. We are accepting applications from 1/1/2019 to 4/1/2019.
The independent IR residency program provides excellent experience in all facets of interventional radiology:
Residents rotate through 8 rotations over the course of the year, to provide experience in a very wide array of procedures and practice settings:
The IR independent residency stands out as offering an extremely well-rounded IR training experience in a collaborative and pleasant environment, and our trainees are extremely well-prepared for job opportunities in both academic and community practice.
