Professor of Radiology and Urology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA
Dr. Steven Raman is a Professor of Radiology and Urology and is an expert in Urological Radiology, having published over 75 papers, 100 abstracts and several book chapters in this field. He has been the founding member of the UCLA Prostate Imaging Group, whose members include physicians and scientists dedicated to advancing the field of prostate imaging. Dr Raman believes that MR imaging the best non-invasive solution for finding the most aggressive prostate cancer.

Dr. Justin McWilliams is an interventional radiologist and an internationally recognized expert in prostate artery embolization (PAE) for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Since performing one of the first PAE procedures in the United States in 2012, Dr. McWilliams has become one of the leading practitioners of PAE as a minimally-invasive alternative to surgery in patients who are suffering from urinary obstruction from BPH.

Dr. Albert Thomas is a Professor of UCLA Radiology. He has expertise in Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging (MRSI) and has published over 95 papers, 200 abstracts and several book chapters in this field. He has been developing novel multi-dimensional MR Spectroscopic Imaging techniques for prostate cancer since the late 80's and his latest contributions include novel non-uniformly undersampling (NUS) acquisition and compressed sensing and maximum entropy reconstructions. During the last fifteen years, he has received multiple extramural grants from external agencies such as Department of Defense (DOD) Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) and California PCRP.

Brenda manages UCLA’s state-of-the-art Q3D Lab and has extensive background in both medical imaging and research. She and her team of image processing specialists provide 3D visualizations and quantitative analyses of cross-sectional data, including diffusion and perfusion prostate imaging.
