Monte Carlo simulation as applied to the radiological sciences is an important analysis tool for modeling the transport of neutral (photons or neutrons) or charged (electrons or protons) particles based upon the probability distribution for radiation interaction with matter.

The physics group is currently using the MCNPX, GEANT4, and TOPAS simulation packages to analyze a variety of radiation transport problems.
