Rushi Parikh, MD

Dr. Rushi Parikh is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Cardiology at UCLA Health. He is an interventional cardiologist at Ronald Reagan Medical Center and also serves as the Co-Assistant Director of the UCLA Interventional Cardiology Research Program. Dr. Parikh's primary research focus is on coronary artery disease following heart transplantation; he has over 40 peer-reviewed publications and is currently funded by a Career Development Award from the American Heart Association and investigator-initiated industry-sponsored grants from Abbott Vascular, Janssen, Bayer, and Infraredx. Dr. Parikh also serves as the Clinical Director of the UCLA Biodesign Program, and actively advises several early-stage medtech start-ups in the digital health and interventional cardiology sectors. 

Dr. Parikh completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University and earned his medical degree from New York University. He then moved to the west coast, and completed his internal medicine residency and advanced heart failure training at the University of California, San Francisco followed by fellowships in general and interventional cardiology at Stanford University. He then joined the UCLA Division of Cardiology in 2018.
