The purpose of deep breathing is to induce a relaxed state of body and mind. First, breathwork will cultivate mental relaxation, then as we go deeper into this rested and restorative state, our bodies will respond with muscle relaxation, allowing us to explore posture correction and mobility work, ultimately countering physical anxiety and stress responses within the body.
