Energy efficiency refers to products or systems using less energy to do the same or better job than conventional products or systems. Energy efficiency not only cuts down on energy usage, it saves money on utility bills and, as noted by the Environmental Protection Agency, helps to protect our fragile global resources by reducing the amount of electricity that must be generated. UCLA Health is looking for ways to reduce energy consumption. Here is a list of projects relating to lighting:
ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECTS | PROJECTED ANNUAL ENERGY SAVINGS |
---|---|
UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center lighting retrofit | 460,000 kWh |
200 UCLA Medical Plaza lighting retrofit | 780,000 KWh |
Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center MBCx (Monitoring Based Commissioning) | Goal - 21,000,000 kBtu |
