Drs. Vay Liang W. Go and Frisca L. Yan-Go.
Dr. Vay Liang W. Go , co-director of the UCLA Agi Hirshberg Center for Pancreatic Diseases, and his wife Dr. Frisca L. Yan-Go, professor of neurology and an expert in sleep medicine who helped develop the UCLA Sleep Disorders Center, have pledged $250,000 to establish the Frisca L. Yan-Go, MD Lectureship in Sleep Medicine. Through a separate contribution, they created a companion fund to provide travel and other expenses for fellows and technicians attending meetings and conferences organized by the lectureship selection committee. Sleep disorders can affect overall health, safety and quality of life. The lectureship brings preeminent national and international sleep specialists to UCLA annually as visiting faculty and consultants to the sleep program. Drs. Go and Yan-Go have a goal to create a UCLA Sleep Medicine Day, which will be an annual national sleep-medicine conference.
